A: In 1996, Robert Hanson, the founder and President, started a small company that specialized in the installation of coating systems on residential garage floors, walkways, driveways and patios. By 1999, Rob had created and perfected proprietary coating products, coating systems, and coating techniques which formed the foundation of a new company, GarageFloorCoating.com (GFC). This permitted GFC to expand beyond residential installations into the commercial realm. In 2006, GFC expanded by opening its first franchise in Dallas, Texas, and by 2013, had affiliations with more than 30 dealerships and franchisees across the US and Canada.
Q: Do you offer training and support? Other services you provide to franchisees to help them?
A: GFC offers seven full days of initial training (three days of “Coatings College” in Phoenix and four days of “On-Site Training” at the franchisee’s locale). Additional training is provided approximately six months after start-up and upon request. Non-technical (business) and technical support is provided at start-up and beyond via a dedicated Technical Support Representative.
