Why Location is Important for Your Franchise

Location location location – this is a common phrase and though it’s simply repeating a common word, it provides so much meaning. Most are familiar with this usage because it’s an important aspect of, well, anything. Whether it’s your next home, ease of access to a road, or a business’ front door, you need to be able to quickly and easily access what you’re after.

Location = convenience.

This is true of all businesses, regardless of industry. How can people frequent your franchise if they can’t find it? How can folks give you business if your store is hard to get to? In general, the easier you are to be seen, the more accessible your parking lot, front doors, etc., the more business you will get.

Just through sheer convenience your numbers will grow.

In other words, you want to make your franchise location as user-friendly as possible. Think about traveling – at the airport, you often pay exorbitant prices for a basic sandwich or even a water. Why? Because they’re located nearby and they have what you need. The same is true for your future franchise. If you have what people want, where they need a service or item, they’re more apt to buy.

Make it easy for your customers and they’ll return the favor.

Besides, once you provide them with a great experience and they’ll come back again and again.

Eliminating a Reason “Not to Go”

People are picky, this is a fact of life. If you give them even the slightest reason to avoid something, they’ll take it and then some. Long drives, windy drive-throughs, distant or difficult parking – people have avoided stores for less. In contrast, the more visible your franchise, the easier you are to get to, the more likely folks are to stop in … even when they don’t need anything.

(Of course this isn’t true of all customers, but even appealing to a small percentage can equal great growth.)

How many times have you gone to a store nearby in search of a product you didn’t know they had, but went because it was close? How often have you “settled” for a closer location? It might not have been what your heart desired, but you appreciated the short trip.

These instances will come up every day. Be that easily located store! Grow your business with this simple standard. Be the franchise that’s not only in a good spot, but offers great service. This double-punch will bring in your lazy audience, as well as those who remember what type of experience they had – a great one!

Be the Best Business Around

Of course, you don’t want your franchising business to run solely off of mediocre leads. You want your customers to enjoy their visit and want to come back. This, of course, is your main goal. Being conveniently located, however, will only sweeten the pot.

As a business owner, you know there are several aspects to being successful. You have to grow and market your brand, find new customers and keep them happy, all while running everyday operations and managing employees. While this might sound like a bit of a juggling event, it simply means that you have to keep your eyes and ears open at all times. It also means that many factors go into your success, including brand location.

When finding your perfect franchising spot, consider all available options. Look at neighborhoods, price ranges, and traffic. How many people will see each location? How easy are they to get to? These answers, combined with your business plan for growth can create a well-made decision for your future franchise.

Your franchising brand will also be a great resource for information in finding an ideal spot for your industry and market.
