To promote continued growth in the brand, Pet Wants adds DeNita Carani to the executive team as the new President.

Pet Wants, the franchise brand that provides freshly delivered pet food to its customers, is fast growing throughout the country. The brand sold 47 new franchise locations last year alone. To continue the brand's momentum, it is building up its leadership team. Pet Wants’ latest addition to the team is franchise veteran DeNita Carani as the new President.

“I was immediately drawn to the whole mission of the brand: promote the health and wellness of pets,” Carani said. “I am a rescue dog mom. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have at least two rescue dogs in my family. I loved the idea of being a part of a brand that is full of franchisees who share my passion for pets. That was really attractive to me.”

Carani has a long history with franchising both as a franchisee and a franchisor. Most recently, she served as the senior director of operations for the in-home childcare franchise Jovie. Before that, she owned Jovie’s first franchise in the Atlanta market for 10 years. Carani also built a startup business in the medical alert space from the ground up. When she came across Pet Wants, she saw the brand's potential. So far in her role, Carani has focused on learning about the system, meeting with owners and diving into support processes so the leadership team can better support their franchisees.
