About Us
House of Chimney Cakes is a Hungarian dessert shop based in Anaheim California, founded in 2017 by native Hungarian Szandra Szabó and Omar Lara. Szandra was already an established entrepreneur in the fashion industry before she found her passion in the Hungarian dessert of chimney cakes. In 2014, she moved to the U.S. with hopes to open her first location, knowing it would be a hit. Three years later, Szandra met Omar Lara, a highly-skilled fine dining chef with experience in reputable hotels and restaurants that include The Ritz-Carlton and Le Cirque. In just two years, Szandra and Omar’s work ethic garnered high demand for these Hungarian pastries, forcing them to expand via franchising.
Franchise Offering
We offer two different types of franchise models under a Single Unit Franchise opportunity (for a single protected territory of your choice) or an Area Development Business Opportunity (franchisees can lock down a larger territory and slowly build a series of House of Chimney Cakes locations):
All initial investments include expenditures that encompass franchise fee, real estate deposits, leasehold improvements, fixtures and décor, kitchen equipment, supplies, ingredients, attorney fees, and a three-month capital reserve. Compared to traditional ice cream franchises House of Chimney Cakes is an innovative concept with a low start-up cost and offers a fast return on investment.
Training and Support
Szandra and Omar’s entrepreneurial and fine dining experience were crucial to establishing a proven, replicable business model simple for franchisees to follow. House of Chimney Cakes offers a comprehensive, hands-on training program composed of 56 hours at our existing location in Anaheim, California, and your new franchise location. Upon completion of the program, franchisees and employees will be well prepared in operating and marketing their business. Szandra, Omar, and your very own franchise consultant will guide you through the discovery process and see through the development of your new location, ensuring long-term success. We take great pride and strive to provide our franchisees with wide-ranging support for all aspects of their House of Chimney Cakes business.
