Minuteman Press Franchisee Maribel Brown Awarded Woman of the Year for San Bernardino County
Award Given to Those Who Make a Positive Difference in Their Communities
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Minuteman Press franchise owner Maribel Brown was recently recognized as the Woman of the Year for San Bernardino County. Brown’s award was presented by Senator Mike Morrell at the 11th Annual Women of Distinction Ceremony and Dinner, which highlighted those women throughout California’s 23rd District who made a positive difference in their communities.
“It was a great honor for me to be recognized as the Women of the Year for San Bernardino County, especially when there were so many women who deserved this award,” said Brown. Maribel, along with her husband Kevin, own and operate their Minuteman Press franchise in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. For over 15 years, she has been involved with the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce, where she now serves as 2015-2016 Chamber President and Chair of the Board of Directors.
Recently, with the assistance of her Chamber Board and City relationships, the Chamber was able to support the donation to the recent World Games Special Olympics as a host town sponsor. Her local Minuteman Press center in Rancho Cucamonga also gives generously by supporting numerous charities, non-profit organizations and businesses in the local region. Maribel is a Rancho Cucamonga Rotarian and also serves as a Board Member to the Board of Trustees of The San Bernardino Medical Center Foundation. She has made a significant difference by participating in many Foundation and Hospital activities and programs.
“I couldn’t be happier for Maribel,” said Dan Byers, Minuteman Press Regional Vice President for Southern California. “She really earned this award through her hard work, her compassion for the community, and her willingness to give back.”
