Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries, a franchise that serves gourmet hamburgers, has announced plans to open more than 30 new restaurants in Oregon, solidifying its presence as one of the top burger specialists in the region.
The development of the new locations will have a pronounced effect on the local economy, adding more than 400 new jobs to the area. Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries is focusing primarily on the Portland metropolitan area and Cowlitz County, according to multi-unit restaurant owner Lucky Patel.
“The restaurant industry is one of the largest private-sector employers in the United States, employing nearly thirteen million Americans. I’ve been in the multi-unit restaurant business for more than twelve years and have employed dozens of talented people in my restaurants,” said Patel.
“I’m eager to move forward with my Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries development, to bring better quality, better tasting burgers and fresh cut fries to the region, and to create jobs in communities hard hit by unemployment,” he added.
According to franchising expert Jolly Backer, gourmet burger shops and other restaurants that offer unique food items are expected to be some of the most profitable franchises during the next decade.
