Chicago Host Recycling Event
The Chicago Machine, Chicago’s outdoor professional men’s lacrosse team, has teamed up with 30 area Cartridge World stores to host a, eWaste recycling event. The event will focus on the recycling of various electronic items and accessories, from computers to monitors, mobile and traditional phones, printers, ink and laser cartridges, and more. The event is aimed at encouraging consumers to reuse, refill and recycle their old or outdated electronics and cartridges. Chicago Surplus Computer will also be onsite to haul away and properly dispose of all eWaste products. As an additional incentive, those participating in the event will receive discounted admission to the July 20th Chicago Machine Lacrosse game along with a coupon for a free inkjet cartridge refill.
The event will take place at Toyota Park, 7000 S. Harlem Avenue, Bridgeview, IL 60455. The date and time are: Sunday, July 20, 2008, 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Along with providing an outlet for people to recycle, the event will also serve as an educational outlet, encouraging awareness of eWaste and its hazards.
