“Haute
Dogs” Head South!
NYC’s Famous 9 ½”Long Sausage Restaurant To Be
Franchised in FL
(NEW YORK,
NY -- February 2007) New York City’s famous 9 ½”
flame-roasted sausage maker and entrepreneurial restaurateur, Ronnie Mandler,
is proud to announce that Mandler’s®, The Original Sausage Co.
- home of the “haute dogs” that New Yorkers flock to eat at
26 East 17th Street off Union Square - has signed a restaurant franchise
agreement with the Magyan family to open the first Mandler’s®
in Florida this May.
When the former restaurant
owner Jeanne Magyan first discovered Mandler’s, she immediately
knew that this franchise opportunity was a potential goldmine. “Mandler’s
offers something unique, something different, something we can have fun
with…” she exclaimed. “Everyone likes trying something
new. I asked my husband Richard, ‘what fast food is in Southern
Florida? Chicken? Hamburgers? Pizza?’ There is nothing like this
here.”
“There is no
doubt in our minds that once they try this, they’ll come back for
more,” she continued. “This is going to work. And why not
make some money while you’re doing it! We’d like to have at
least five restaurants in Southern Florida. This is just the beginning!”
Mandler’s eleven
different, 9 ½” long sausages are flame-roasted on an open
grill. Each has up to a dozen spices to capture their distinctive smoky,
mild or spicy character. Founder Ronnie Mandler spent ten years developing
his restaurant concept and perfecting the recipes for his traditional
Bratwurst, Italian, Kosher Beef and Vegetarian sausages, the more gourmet
Krainerwurst, Bockwurst, Knockwurst and Turkey, and the spicier Andouille
and Chorizo.
Mandler’s also
offers a selection of four freshly-baked breads, 10 toppings to dress
up your “haute dogs,” and a complimentary Mustard Bar with
Amber Ale, Vermont Maple, Horseradish, Roasted Garlic Dijon, Three Peppercorn,
Honey Dijon and Smokey Garlic Dijon. Side dishes include “best in
the neighborhood” French Fries, crunchy Zucchini Fries, creamy filled
Corn Fritters and a Hash Brown Roller. The Homemade Lemonade with Fresh
Mint cools it all down.
Mandler’s opened
in 2003 to great reviews in The New York Times, New York Magazine, The
Daily News, and is a Time Out New York TONY 100 for “the best in
New York City dining.” Mandler’s continues to be featured
on tv, radio and in print for their outstanding food and value, interesting
events and appealing offerings.
