Postal
Connections Triples Size Since 2002
-
Adds Two More West Coast Stores -
San Diego,
CA—June 29, 2005—Postal Connections of America (PCA),
a rapidly growing franchise chain of postal, business and communication
services stores, reports its franchise network has increased in size by
220% since 2002 with the addition of two more stores opening in Vancouver,
WA and Valencia, CA. The PCA retail chain currently has 80 stores sold
or open in 22 states.
The Valencia PCA is
the third store owned by the family business that includes Roger, Lynne,
Shawn, and Lorraine Forsberg and Jennifer Clifton. “Our desire is
to expand to build something for the family,” said Roger Forsberg.
“My wife, son and daughter have all been part our plan to take advantage
of Los Angeles suburbs moving north into the Santa Clarita Valley,”
says Forsberg. The Forsbergs recently sold one of their three stores in
Newhall, CA after two years of operating it. The Forsbergs own a second
store in Valencia.
“This is really
a good service business where people appreciate coming in to find solutions
and get a smile,” says Roger Forsberg. The new Valencia PCA opens
in early July, at 28235 Newhall Ranch Road.
The new PCA store in Vancouver, WA will be operated by Jane Hinkley and
her daughter Jamie. “We had a good site picked out and chose to
join Postal Connections after a lot of research and visiting other franchisees
in the Portland, OR area,” says Jane Hinkley, a Registered Nurse.
“We like working with people and thought this business would be
a good way for us to build an asset,” adds Hinkley. “Our Postal
Connections store is a dream my daughter and I have had about being our
own boss instead of working for others,” says Hinkley.
PCA stores are designed
to offer target customers packaging, shipping, mail receiving and forwarding,
copies, eBay auction support and other products and services. Unlike many
similar stores, PCA franchise stores feature shipping alternatives giving
customers choices in prices, delivery times and carriers, instead of selling
only one shipper’s service. PCA stores typically operate in malls
where there is ample parking and easy customer access.
Postal Connections of America is based in San Diego, and
has been franchising stores since 1999. The franchise is a subsidiary
of Global Business Services, Inc. (GBNS.PK) headquartered in Beverly Hills,
CA.
