Pizza Franchise Straw Hat Pizza Now Open In Harvey's Hotel & Casino. On the Casino Floor Where the Slots and Gaming Tables Meet, Popular California Pizza Restaurant Franchise Debuts with Premium Full Bar and Grill.

San Ramon, CA, June 23, 2011: Straw Hat Pizza, the original California Pizza since 1959, announced it has opened its newest restaurant in Lake Tahoe, on the casino floor where the slots and the gaming tables meet, inside Harvey’s Hotel & Casino at 18 Highway 50, Stateline, NV.

The new Lake Tahoe Straw Hat Pizza is 5000 square feet with two colorful wall murals depicting the 50 year old pizza brand’s history and its California heritage. Other standout features include a full bar that can seat 25, and 15 big screen HD Televisions. “It’s a pizza sports bar and grill,” says owner and franchisee Dana K. Smith. “Our bar features premium wines and spirits, along with a ‘US$100 hamburger ‘ which is a burger and a bottle of Silver Oak Cabernet wine, or for really lucky casino winners, a US$500 a bottle of Cristal champagne with 24 karat gold flakes on a large pizza,” said Smith.

Straw Hat’s famous California pizza is joined on the new menu by lean Angus beef burgers, freshly cut regular and sweet potato fries, and grilled chicken sandwiches, along with freshly made pastas. Straw Hat Pizza’s menu also offers guests a 27 item salad bar, their popular Hot Hat sandwiches and of course the famous pizzas, which also are available in gluten-free. Along with its new dining room and bar, Straw Hat Pizza provides room service and catering for the Summer Concert Series.

Straw Hat Pizza has been making waves and fresh genuine California pizza since 1959. With a layered, crispy crust, the freshest toppings, zesty sauce made from fresh tomatoes, and their own blend of six California naturally aged cheeses, it tastes just like those served along California’s sunny coastline. For more than 50 years Straw Hat has used only fresh local ingredients. It’s not a trend; it’s a history as genuine as their California pizza.

The new Straw Hat Pizza inside Harvey’s Hotel and Casino is located at 18 Highway 50 at Stateline, NV, 89449. Room service, dine-in, take-out and delivery can be reached by calling 775-586-9000. Restaurant hours are 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.

Besides the new Lake Tahoe location, the fifty three year old company has 82 locations and is growing with new locations opening in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, New Jersey, Maryland, Montana, Texas and Virginia. Growth plans are to reach 150 locations within two years.
