History
 Right at Home was founded in 1995 by Allen Hager. Allen, a former hospital administrator, had personally seen the anguish that families face every day in finding safe, appropriate, quality home care services for their parents or other loved ones. In many cases the care patients needed did not fall into the category of healthcare provided by hospitals and doctors. What people needed was help with their everyday needs: getting up and getting dressed, fixing a nutritious meal, or remembering to take their medications. In some cases, they just needed companionship, or someone to sit with them at night to make sure they were safe.
In order to develop a true understanding of how best to deliver senior home care services, Allen did traditional in-depth business research, but also rolled up his sleeves and took a US$7.00 per hour job working as a certified caregiver in order to, in his words, "understand this business, its customers and caregivers at every level." After this invaluable experience, he opened the doors to the flagship office of Right at Home in Omaha, NE in 1995.

Superior training program. The second phase of our comprehensive training and support program is our initial training class. It lasts a full 2 weeks, twice what some others in the industry offer. We feel this time is necessary in order to get you started off on the right foot.
