Each Oil Can Henry’s service center is distinctive, highly recognizable and attractive. Our prototype service centers are striking, featuring early American architecture, a bold red and white exterior and large, accommodating entrances and exits.





We let our customers remain in their vehicles, where they can watch and listen as our friendly, trained technicians complete the services they request. Our proprietary CastrolCam video monitor, positioned next to the driver’s side window, provides
live views of the service under the hood and under the vehicle. As we like to say, “Seeing is believing and you can believe in us. Oil Can Henry’s. The One You Can Trust.”


We involve our customers in the service by reviewing their service options with them, and providing them with their vehicle manufacturers’ recommended service schedules. This enables us to communicate with them throughout the service
and to earn their trust. The result is impressive customer loyalty – and increased sales.

Oil Can Henry’s technicians are required to follow strict standards for a well-groomed, clean appearance and a positive approach to customers. The distinctive Gatsby hat and bow-tie and attractive shirt, pants and jacket support our brand positioning and remind customers that we’re detail-oriented. As a result, our technicians have developed a well-earned reputation for friendly, professional attitudes and efficient service.

Our technicians are trained to work together as a professional automotive service team. They employ a double-check system known as the Command/Echo to ensure that each step in each service process is precisely completed on each and every vehicle. One employee calls out the step – the Command – and the other employee, when hehas completed the step, answers – the Echo. The Command/Echo also
assures customers that the service they are receiving is thorough.

Training It’s not easy to qualify for the training programs at Oil Can Henry’s. Our candidate selection process is a rigorous one. We only accept those people who best personify the Oil Can Henry’s image for pride and professionalism.

Our training programs are also the most thorough in the industry. We insist on it because these programs form the foundation for the Oil Can Henry’s culture of superior service.

Prior to being certified as a franchisee or manager, a candidate must complete an intensive training course in automotive principles and procedural training on specific Oil Can Henry’s lubrication methods. This four to five week hands-on training course is taught at Oil Can Henry’s University, an operating quick lube center in Portland, Oregon, and the Oil Can Henry’s Tech Center, where we conduct classroom instruction and personalized training. During this time, capabilities are evaluated and refined under the sharp eyes of experienced instructors. Upon the successful completion of both the classroom and on-the-job training courses, Oil Can Henry’s graduation certificates are awarded.



After completion of the automotive theory and procedures courses, Oil Can Henry’s managers and franchise owner-operators receive training on all aspects of running a successful business, including day-to-day operations, purchasing, inventory control, scheduling, financial controls, advertising, and employee motivation. In addition, Oil Can Henry’s provides on-site assistance and training on a regular basis to ensure center employees are confident and effective.




At Oil Can Henry’s, we work hard to maintain the entrepreneurial spirit that got us started and has fueled our controlled, sustained growth. We drive innovation, constantly looking for new, better ways to serve our customers. Oil Can Henry’s provides each franchisee with an advertising and marketing manual. The manual contains a marketing overview, which outlines company positioning statements, marketing objectives, and strategic marketing and advertising programs. In addition, Oil Can Henry’s provides franchisees with print and broadcast materials they can use in their local markets. Updates to the marketing manuals are distributed regularly along with a marketing memo explaining their uses.

Advertising funds to produce advertising and marketing materials are contributed by franchisees and company-operated service centers. Cooperative advertising programs with suppliers have also been established to maximize the effectiveness of our advertising dollars.
