Our Story
 Mr. Transmission was founded as Automatic Transmission Service in 1956, later acquiring Grayson Rose Transmission in 1968. In October 1990 Moran Industries, Inc. acquired the Mr. Transmission team, consisting of 65 active franchise owners and relocated the corporate offices to Midlothian, Illinois.
In less than one year, Mr. Transmission grew to 85 service centers. Moran Industries, Inc. has continued to acquire additional Transmission Centers, strengthening its position in the automotive service market.
While our company continues to grow, we understand that growth in numbers must be accompanied by enhanced customer services and an on going commitment to the tried and true business basics that have made Mr. Transmission a success: Top quality workmanship, fair prices, and friendly professional customer service.

Our Focus - Training and Support
 Even though we‘re focused on the automotive aftermarket, having an automotive background isn‘t required or necessary. The reason: our franchise system is built on proven principles that have been successfully implemented by people from all walks of life. This is possible because we have invested in one of the most comprehensive pre-opening training and assistance programs in the industry.
You‘ll start with a full 3 weeks of on-site training in a real, operating Mr. Transmission business. During your hands-on training, you‘ll learn firsthand about how the business works.
You‘ll interface with employees and customers. You‘ll watch the selling process in action. By the end of those 3 weeks, you‘ll be completely familiar with the business, inside and out. Next, you‘ll spend two weeks in classroom training, where you‘ll receive easy-to-understand management training and learn to implement and follow our proven business systems. The result? When your center is ready to open you‘ll be ready and able to take charge.
Of course, pre-opening training isn‘t where our involvement ends -- that‘s really where it begins. Once you‘re open for business, you‘ll have ongoing access to our staff, and you‘ll benefit from our efforts to continually improve and refine our system.
